William Harvey
After earning a degree at Cambridge at at the age 20. He went to Italy to study medicine in 1602 and returned to England earning another degree
from Cambridge. He graduated with honors appointed as a physician to the court of James 1. William Harvey studied animals eventually giving him a theories, of how the heart and blood and circulatory system operated. In 1628 he wrote a book "On the motion of the heart and blood in animals.
Through out the rest of his life he remained a physician until 1643 the year before his death.

Balboa
Balboa (1475-1519) in 1533 while crossing the Isthmus of Panama, Balboa became the first European to view the Eastern part of the Pacific ocean.
He befriended those Indians who were amenable and captured, looted and tortured those who were not amassing a substantial l treasure of his own. Balboa erected a cross, claimed the ocean and adjacent lands for Spain and christened the sea "Mar Del Sur " (south sea)
